Ingredients

Fruits
  • 2 pieces ripe peaches, pitted and chopped Make sure to pick ripe and juicy fruits for optimal flavor.
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
Liquids
  • 2 cups cold water or sparkling water for fizz
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup Adjust to taste.
  • 1 piece lemon juice (about 2 tablespoons)
Garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves Optional for garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by washing the peaches and berries to remove any dirt. Remove the pits from the peaches and chop them into chunks. Set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine the chopped peaches and mixed berries. Add the cold water (or sparkling water for extra pizzazz), honey or agave syrup, and lemon juice.
  3. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. You can adjust the sweetness at this point by adding more honey/agave, depending on your taste.
  4. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any pulp. However, the fruity bits can add a nice texture!
  5. Pour the refresher into glasses filled with ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Enjoy this chilled beverage on a warm day!

Notes

The Peach Berry Refresher is best enjoyed fresh, but if you have leftovers, store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze in ice cube trays or bags. Thaw in the fridge before enjoying or blend again for a slushie-style treat.
