  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs Beaten for coating
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For drizzling on top
  • 1 piece lemon For serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, beat the eggs until well mixed.
Coating and Baking
  1. Dip each tilapia fillet into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off.
  2. Coat the fillet in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it sticks.
  3. Place the coated fillets onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the top.
  5. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Substitutions: You can replace tilapia with catfish or cod. Ensure your egg wash isn't too watery and do not overcrowd the baking sheet.
