  • - 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • - 1 cup fresh broccoli chopped into small florets

  • - 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • - 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • - 2 tbsp chopped green onion
  • - 1 tsp garlic powder
  • - 1/4 tsp salt
  • - 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • - 2 cans 8 oz each refrigerated crescent dough
  • - 1 egg beaten (for brushing)

  • **Preheat Oven:** Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • **Mix Filling:** In a large mixing bowl, combine chicken, broccoli, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, red bell pepper, green onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  • **Prepare Dough:** Roll out the crescent dough onto a baking sheet, pressing the seams together to form a large rectangle.
  • **Add Filling:** Spread the chicken and broccoli mixture evenly down the center of the dough, leaving about 3 inches of dough on each side.
  • **Create the Braid:** Cut 1-inch strips along both sides of the filling. Fold each strip diagonally over the filling, alternating sides to create a braided look.
  • **Brush with Egg:** Lightly brush the top of the braid with the beaten egg for a glossy finish.
  • **Bake:** Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
