Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken breasts, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken evenly and set it aside.
- In a skillet, lightly sauté the sliced mushrooms over medium heat until softened, about 5 minutes, then set them aside.
Cooking
- In a baking dish, lay the seasoned chicken breasts side by side. Top each piece with the sautéed mushrooms and a generous sprinkle of cheese.
- Place the baking dish in your preheated oven and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

- Once done, garnish with fresh herbs if using, and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Top Tips: You can substitute chicken thighs or turkey for the chicken breasts. Keep a close eye on the chicken while it bakes and use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Avoid overcrowding the baking dish.
