  • 2 pieces blood oranges, juiced Use the juiciest available for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup sparkling water Chilled for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional) Only if extra sweetness is desired.
  • Ice cubes For serving.
  • Orange slices and mint leaves for garnish Aesthetically pleasing addition.

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the blood oranges in half and juicing them into a measuring cup.
  2. In a large glass or pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed orange juice with the sparkling water. Add honey or agave syrup if desired, then stir gently.
  3. Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the mocktail mixture over the ice.
  4. Garnish each glass with a slice of orange and a few sprigs of mint.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy with friends and family.

Notes

Store leftover juice in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Consume mixed mocktail within a few hours for best fizz. For a twist, try using other citrus fruits if blood oranges are unavailable. Avoid over-sweetening if blood oranges are already sweet.
