  • 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes Adds a tropical flavor.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows For sweetness and texture.
  • 1 cup whipped topping Use a high-quality product for best results.
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Gives creaminess to the salad.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Adjust according to taste.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, begin by dissolving the orange flavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.
  2. Incorporate 1 cup of cold water into the gelatin mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Place the mixture in the refrigerator and let it chill until it becomes slightly thickened — about 1 hour.
  4. Once thickened, fold in the drained mandarin oranges, sweetened coconut flakes, mini marshmallows, whipped topping, softened cream cheese, and sugar. Mix gently until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  5. Spoon the mixture into a serving dish, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or until set.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality whipped topping and allow adequate chill time for flavor melding. This salad does not freeze well but can last for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
