Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the orange juice, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the softened butter and mix till crumbly.
- Press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the greased baking pan to form the crust.
- Pour the orange mixture over the crust and spread it evenly.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the filling.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Cool at room temperature and then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Serve cold with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of orange zest.
Notes
Use fresh-squeezed orange juice for brighter flavor. You can freeze the bars for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before serving.
