  • 1 piece orange Peeled and segmented
  • 1 piece banana Peeled and broken into chunks

  • 1 cup yogurt Greek or regular; non-dairy alternatives work too
  • 1 tablespoon honey Optional, adjust based on sweetness preference
  • to desired thickness cubes ice cubes Add for a thicker consistency

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by peeling the orange and separating it into segments.
  2. Peel the banana and break it into chunks.
Blending
  1. Place the orange segments and banana chunks into your blender.
  2. Add the yogurt and honey. If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes.
  3. Secure the lid on the blender and start blending at a low speed. Gradually increase to high until everything is smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds.
  4. After blending, taste and adjust sweetness by adding more honey if needed and pulse for a few seconds.
Serving
  1. Pour your Orange Banana Smoothie into a glass.
  2. Garnish with a slice of orange or a sprinkle of granola on top if desired.

Notes

For the best flavor, use ripe bananas. You can also substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar, and yogurt with almond milk or coconut yogurt to keep it dairy-free.
