Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
Making the Cake Base
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Stir until well combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
Making the Filling
- In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, 2 eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the filling mixture over the cake base in the pan.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is lightly golden.
- A toothpick inserted should come out clean but slightly gooey.
Cooling and Serving
- Allow the cake to cool for at least 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze individual slices for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat in the microwave for a few seconds.
