Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 ounces pasta (your choice)
  • 1 pound steak, cut into strips
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (smoky flavored)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups broth (beef or vegetable)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Optional Ingredients
  • Your choice of veggies (bell peppers, onions, or spinach) Add to your preference for extra flavor and nutrition.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt and pepper, then add them to the pot.
  2. Sear the steak for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak and set aside.
Cooking the Pasta
  1. In the same pot, add the broth and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add your pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually around 8-10 minutes.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Once the pasta is cooked al dente, lower the heat and mix in the smoky BBQ sauce and honey. Stir until well combined and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the seared steak back into the pot, stirring it through the pasta and sauce. If you’re using vegetables, toss them in at this stage.
Serving
  1. Once heated through and well mixed, taste for seasoning and adjust if needed. Serve warm straight from the pot, and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, experiment with different BBQ sauces and remember that cooking times may vary based on the pasta brand.
