One Bowl Banana Bread

Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed Look for bananas with plenty of brown spots for maximum sweetness.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter Unsalted or salted can be used.
  • 1 large egg, beaten Beaten lightly before adding.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar Granulated sugar.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and stir well to combine.
  4. Beat the egg lightly and add it to the mixture along with the vanilla extract. Stir until well incorporated.
  5. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture, then add sugar and flour. Gently fold everything together until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing out the top with a spatula.
Baking
  1. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 60-70 minutes. If the top becomes too brown, cover it gently with aluminum foil.
  2. Insert a toothpick into the center; if it comes out clean, your banana bread is ready. If not, continue baking a little longer.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftover banana bread wrapped in plastic wrap or foil in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze slices for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds or in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
