Ingredients
  

For the burgers
  • 1 lb ground beef Use quality beef for the best flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning Can be adjusted based on taste preference.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season according to preference.
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese Feel free to substitute with another cheese.
  • ½ cup pizza sauce Choose your favorite pizza sauce.
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices Substitute with other toppings if desired.
  • 4 burger buns Any style of bun can be used.

  • fresh basil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix it gently—don’t overdo it to keep those burgers tender.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and form patties about ¾ inch thick.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes per side, depending on your desired doneness.
  2. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of mozzarella on each patty, cover, and let it melt.
Assembly and Serving
  1. Remove the patties from heat, and place them on the burger buns.
  2. Spoon over pizza sauce and top with pepperoni slices (or any toppings you like).
  3. Close the buns and get ready to devour these beauties!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For freezing, wrap cooled burgers tightly in foil and store in the freezer for up to a month.
