Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix it gently—don’t overdo it to keep those burgers tender.
- Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and form patties about ¾ inch thick.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes per side, depending on your desired doneness.
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of mozzarella on each patty, cover, and let it melt.
Assembly and Serving
- Remove the patties from heat, and place them on the burger buns.
- Spoon over pizza sauce and top with pepperoni slices (or any toppings you like).
- Close the buns and get ready to devour these beauties!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For freezing, wrap cooled burgers tightly in foil and store in the freezer for up to a month.
