Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until the mixture is smooth and well-blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients, making sure not to overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Assembly
  1. Scoop out a small amount of dough (about a tablespoon) and flatten it slightly in your hand.
  2. Place a teaspoon-sized dollop of Nutella in the center and wrap the dough around it, rolling it into a ball.
  3. Repeat for the remaining dough and Nutella.
Baking
  1. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
