Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until the mixture is smooth and well-blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients, making sure not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Assembly
- Scoop out a small amount of dough (about a tablespoon) and flatten it slightly in your hand.
- Place a teaspoon-sized dollop of Nutella in the center and wrap the dough around it, rolling it into a ball.
- Repeat for the remaining dough and Nutella.
Baking
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for 2-3 months. To reheat, microwave for 10-15 seconds or bake at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
