Nutella Puff Pastries

Ingredients
  

For the Pastries
  • 2 sheets 1 package of puff pastry sheets (2 sheets, thawed) Thaw before use.
  • 1 cup 1 cup Nutella Can be substituted with almond butter.
  • 1 large 1 large egg (for egg wash) Used to achieve a golden finish.
  • to taste Powdered sugar (for dusting) Dust after baking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut each sheet into squares about 4x4 inches.
  3. Place a spoonful of Nutella in the center of each pastry square, leaving space around the edges to seal.
  4. Fold the corners of each square toward the center, pinch and seal the edges to create pockets.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk the egg to create an egg wash and brush the tops of the pastries.
  6. Arrange the pastries on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Let them cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

To store, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to retain flakiness.
