Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined. Mix in the baking soda and salt. Then, add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined—be careful not to overmix!
- Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan, then add half of the Nutella. Use a knife or a skewer to swirl the Nutella into the batter. Pour in the remaining batter and top with the rest of the Nutella, swirling again.
- Bake for about 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store your Nutella Banana Bread wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Freeze for up to 3 months, slicing before freezing for easy portions.
