Preparation
- Chop the pecans and dates. If the dates are hard, soak them in warm water for a few minutes before chopping.
Combining Ingredients
- In a large bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, dates, almond flour, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Forming the Balls
- Take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
Adding Toppings
- If desired, dip or roll the balls in melted dark chocolate, shredded coconut, or finely chopped nuts.
Chilling
- Place the pecan pie balls on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
