  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup For natural sweetness.
  • 2 cups rolled oats Provides structure and chew.
  • 1/2 cup protein powder Your choice; plant-based is a good option.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Dairy-free chocolate chips for halal-friendly.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) Almonds or walnuts work great.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For aromatic flavor.

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup) until smooth.
  2. Stir in the rolled oats and protein powder. Mix until well combined. If desired, fold in any optional chopped nuts.
  3. Gently stir the chocolate chips into the mixture.
  4. Using your hands or a cookie scoop, form small balls or flatten them slightly to create cookie shapes. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Allow the cookies to chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set.
  6. Once firm, enjoy the cookies either on their own or shared with family.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 3 months. Let them come to room temperature before enjoying.
