No-Bake Oreo Yum Yum

Ingredients
  

For the crust
  • 24 pieces Oreo cookies (crushed for the crust) Crushed into fine crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
For the cream filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cool whip (or whipped cream) Can be substituted with dairy-free cool whip
For layering
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (for layering on top)
  • to taste Chocolate syrup (optional for drizzling)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Crush the 24 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
  2. Combine the cookie crumbs with the melted butter until well mixed.
  3. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x9-inch dish.
Making the Cream Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the cool whip until combined.
Assembly
  1. Spread half of the cream mixture over the Oreo crust.
  2. Sprinkle a layer of crushed Oreo cookies over the cream.
  3. Add the remaining cream mixture on top of the crushed Oreos.
Chilling
  1. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Serving
  1. Cut into squares, drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

Best stored in an airtight container. Can last up to 5 days in the refrigerator or up to 2 months in the freezer. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
