Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 cup peanut butter Ensure it's smooth and creamy for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Can substitute for agave syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips For melting.
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch salt

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until everything is well combined.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the melted chocolate into the oat mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
  4. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and spread the mixture evenly into the dish using a spatula. Press it down firmly to pack it in.
  5. Pour the remaining melted chocolate over the top, spreading it evenly.
  6. Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the bars to set.
  7. Once solid, lift the bars out using the parchment paper, then cut them into squares or rectangles. Enjoy!
