Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for maximum crispiness.
- Pat the chicken wings dry using paper towels to help them crisp up nicely.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until well-coated.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the seasoned wings evenly without overcrowding.
Baking
- Bake the wings in the oven for 40 minutes, turning them halfway through.
- While the wings are baking, mix the sweet chili sauce and soy sauce in a small saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the wings from the oven and toss them in the sauce until well-coated.
- Return the sauced wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the sauce becomes sticky and caramelized.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh chopped cilantro and sesame seeds if desired, and enjoy.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes for crispiness.
