Preparation
- Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box.
- In a mixing bowl, prepare the cake mix following the instructions on the package.
- Once the cake mix is ready, add in 1/2 cup of cocoa powder and stir until well combined.
Baking
- Pour the combined batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven as directed on the cake mix package until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cooling and Topping
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
- Melt the 2 cups of chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
- Once melted, pour the chocolate over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
