Ingredients

For the meatballs
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For assembly
  • 6 pieces Slider buns
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • Olives (for eyes)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Dollop about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
Cooking
  1. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Slice slider buns in half. On each bottom half of a bun, place a meatball and add marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. Top each meatball with an olive to create the eyes of your 'monsters.'
  4. Place the assembled sliders on a baking tray and return them to the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute or two, and serve.

Notes

You can replace ground beef with ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option. Prepare the meatballs ahead of time and freeze them. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10–15 minutes.
