Preparation
- Start by rinsing the fresh mint leaves under cool water. Gently pat them dry.
- In a measuring cup, combine the freshly squeezed lime juice with water. Stir until well blended.
- In your ice cube tray, place a few washed mint leaves at the bottom of each cube section for visual appeal.
- Pour your lime-water mixture over the mint leaves, filling each cube to about 3/4 full.
- If desired, add a slice of lime into each compartment for extra zest.
Freezing
- Place the ice cube tray in the freezer and let it sit for about 4 hours, or until completely frozen.
Serving
- Once frozen solid, pop the ice cubes out of the tray and store them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer.
- When you’re ready to enjoy a refreshing drink, simply add a few Mint Lime Ice Cubes.
Notes
Your Mint Lime Ice Cubes can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 months in an airtight container. For freshness, avoid repeated thawing and refreezing.
