  • 12 pieces Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice) Feel free to mix various cheeses for different flavors.
  • 4 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the entire set of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them, and place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
  3. Evenly distribute the shredded cheese over the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. If using garlic powder and parsley, mix them with the softened butter, and spread this mixture over the top half of the rolls.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls back onto the cheese layer.
  6. Brush any remaining butter mixture on the top of the assembled rolls.
  7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  8. Once done, let them cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve while warm.

Notes

For storage, place any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes until heated through. Feel free to experiment with toppings like cooked vegetables or deli meats.
