Method
Preparation
- Start by cutting each slice of bread into quarters.
- Spread a small amount of softened butter on one side of each piece of bread.
- Take one piece of bread, place a slice of cheese on the unbuttered side, and top with another piece of bread, buttered side facing out.
Cooking
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.
- Place the assembled grilled cheese bites in the skillet and cook until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese has started to melt, approximately 2-3 minutes.
- Carefully flip the bites using a spatula and cook the other side until it is also golden brown.
Serving
- Remove from the skillet and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, or enjoy them just as they are!
Notes
Experiment with different types of bread and cheeses for unique flavors. Avoid turning the heat too high to prevent burnt bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container; they’re best consumed within 3 days, or freeze for up to a month.
