Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the semolina, sugar, and baking powder. Stir well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the yogurt, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined to keep the cake light.
- Gently fold in the chopped nuts.
- Grease a baking dish, pour in the batter, and bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Once cooled, drizzle the syrup or honey over the cake generously. Slice and serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Freezing slices is possible for up to a month.
