Ingredients

For the Brownie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Caramel Layer
  • 1 cup soft caramels (unwraps)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
For the Chocolate Ganache
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Method

Prepare the Brownie Base
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in granulated sugar, then whisk in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until well incorporated.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let it cool completely.
Make the Caramel Layer
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the soft caramels and heavy cream. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and melted.
  2. Pour the caramel over the cooled brownie base and spread it evenly. Allow it to set for about 15-20 minutes.
Create the Chocolate Ganache
  1. In a separate saucepan, heat heavy cream until hot but not boiling. Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips; let it sit for a minute. Stir until smooth.
  2. Pour the ganache over the caramel layer, ensuring it covers uniformly. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.
Slice and Serve
  1. Once everything is set, cut the brownies into squares, serve on a platter, and enjoy your Millionaire Brownies!

Notes

For best results, cool each layer properly before adding the next. These brownies can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days or frozen for up to three months.
