Preparation and Cooking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, mixed vegetables, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the chicken mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the chicken mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine the crushed crackers with a little melted butter. Sprinkle over the casserole, followed by the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Consider serving with a garden salad or steamed green beans. Use stale crackers for the topping to avoid sogginess.
