Preparation
- Start by placing 1 tablespoon of butter in your microwave-safe mug. Heat for about 15 seconds until completely melted.
- Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar into the melted butter. Mix well until combined and creamy.
- Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract and the egg yolk until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add in 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Mix until you have a thick cookie dough.
- Gently fold in 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips, making sure they’re evenly dispersed throughout the dough.
- Place your mug in the microwave and cook on high for 40-60 seconds. Keep an eye on it to avoid overflow.
- Allow it to cool for a couple of minutes to avoid burning your mouth, then dig in and savor every bite!
Notes
If you're out of butter, coconut oil can be a great alternative. Adjust cooking times according to your microwave's power. Store any leftover cookie in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for up to a month.
