Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Gather your puff pastry, sugar, cinnamon, egg, and butter. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Rolling and Coating
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry to smooth out any creases.
- In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, ensuring it’s evenly blended.
- Brush the melted butter over the puff pastry, then generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the entire surface.
Cutting and Twisting
- Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide. Take each strip and twist it a few times before placing it onto a lined baking sheet.
Egg Wash and Baking
- Whisk the egg in a small bowl, then brush it onto each twist to give them a beautiful golden color when baked.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the twists are golden brown and puffed up.
Cooling and Serving
- Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap tightly and freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven at low temperature (around 300°F or 150°C) for about 10 minutes.
