Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and the beaten egg. Use your hands to gently mix until everything is evenly combined, but don’t overwork the mixture.
- With your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a plate or tray as you go.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the meatballs in the skillet. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown on all sides and cooked through.
Serving
- Remove the meatballs from the skillet and serve them with warm marinara sauce drizzled on top. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
Notes
For Halal options, substitute ground chicken with ground turkey or a beef-lamb mixture. Consider adding red pepper flakes for heat or swapping Parmesan with feta cheese for creaminess.
