  • 200 g 1 block of feta cheese About 200g
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For drizzling
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano For seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme For seasoning
  • 1 clove garlic, minced For flavor
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved Fresh
  • ¼ cup pitted olives, sliced For topping
  • to taste fresh parsley, for garnish Optional garnish
  • crusty bread or pita, for serving For serving alongside

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the block of feta cheese in the center of a baking dish or cast-iron skillet.
  3. Surround the feta with halved cherry tomatoes and sliced olives.
  4. Drizzle olive oil generously over the feta.
  5. Sprinkle dried oregano, thyme, and minced garlic over the feta and vegetables.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, until the feta is golden and bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
  4. Serve immediately with crusty bread or pita.

Notes

For a different texture, you can substitute feta cheese with Halloumi. Keep an eye on the feta during the last few minutes of baking to prevent overcooking.
