Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, sour cream, melted butter, and chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring even distribution.
  4. Spoon the mixture into a greased casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.

Baking
  1. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
