Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce Adds flavor to the hot dogs.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper Adds a hint of spice.
Main Ingredients
  • 8 Hot dogs Any variety of your choice.
  • 8 pieces Hot dog buns Optional to toast.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
  2. Add the hot dogs to the marinade, ensuring they're fully coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes to soak up all that flavor goodness.
  3. While your hot dogs are marinating, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Grilling
  1. Remove the hot dogs from the marinade and place them on the grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are nicely charred and heated through.
  2. If you prefer toasted buns, place them cut-side down on the grill for the last minute to lightly toast.
Serving
  1. Place the grilled hot dogs in the buns, add your favorite toppings, and enjoy the flavor explosion!

Notes

For best results, marinate for 30 minutes. Experiment with toppings such as sautéed peppers, fresh herbs, or tangy sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Freeze for about one month, reheating gently.
