Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract, whisking until combined and glossy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture without overmixing.
- Gently stir in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, leveling it out. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and enjoy.
Notes
For perfect blondies, monitor baking time closely. Pull them out slightly under-baked for a chewy texture. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for a week. Can also be frozen.
