Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk Can use almond or oat milk for dairy-free version.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter Substitute with coconut oil for dairy-free version.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Glaze Ingredients
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and greasing a donut pan with cooking spray.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Whisk together until well combined.
  3. Prepare the Wet Mixture: In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine: Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix; a few lumps are fine!
  5. Fill the Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
Baking
  1. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Make the Glaze: While the donuts are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and maple syrup in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Cool and Glaze: Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Once cooled, dip the top of each donut in the glaze.
Serving
  1. Enjoy: Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes, then dig into these divine Maple Glazed Donuts!
