Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well combined.
- Mix in the flour, then gradually add the milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Keep whisking until the mixture is smooth.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan.
Serving
- Gently run a knife around the edges to loosen it, then flip it onto a serving plate. Dust with powdered sugar if desired!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Freezing is also an option; wrap in plastic and then aluminum foil to last up to 2 months. Reheat individual slices in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
