Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups almond flour Gluten-free alternative to wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Optional for added flavor
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
Toppings (Optional)
  • as needed sesame seeds or poppy seeds For topping the bagels

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Stir until well mixed.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the melted butter or oil. Mix until combined, then pour into the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir the mixture until a dough forms. If it’s too crumbly, you can add a bit more melted butter.
  5. Divide the dough into four equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, then poke a hole in the middle with your finger, carefully shaping it into a bagel form.
  6. Place the formed bagels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with a light layer of butter or oil and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy them warm, toasted, or with your favorite toppings!

Notes

Store leftover bagels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for longer storage. Best when freshly made.
