Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces ripe bananas Make sure to use ripe bananas for optimal sweetness.
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips Alternatively, you can use chocolate bars broken into pieces.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Peel the bananas and cut them into thick slices, about 1-inch each. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips, coconut oil, and a pinch of salt. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth (about 1-2 minutes).
  3. Dip each banana slice in the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Use a fork to lift them out and let any excess chocolate drip off before placing them back on the baking sheet.
  4. Once all banana slices are coated, place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 2 hours or until the chocolate is fully set.
  5. Once frozen, transfer the banana chocolate bars to an airtight container.

Notes

For added crunch and flavor, sprinkle some crushed nuts or shredded coconut on top before freezing. These bars can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months.
