  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For toasting the buns
Optional Toppings
  • to taste celery For added crunch

  • to taste Old Bay seasoning For extra flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. If using fresh lobster, cook it in boiling water for about 8 minutes, or until the meat turns opaque.
  2. If using pre-cooked lobster, ensure it is thawed and chopped if frozen.
Mix the Filling
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped lobster, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chives.
  2. Mix gently to avoid tearing the lobster meat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Prepare the Buns
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Toast the hot dog buns on both sides until golden brown (about 1-2 minutes each side).
Assemble the Rolls
  1. Spoon the lobster mixture generously into each toasted bun.
Serve
  1. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs, or enjoy with fries on the side!

Notes

Leftover lobster filling can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. The buns are best eaten fresh.
