  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Provides a fresh tang.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives For flavor and garnish.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Add according to your preference.
Buns and Toppings
  • 4 New England-style hot dog buns These are typical for lobster rolls.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For toasting the buns.
  • optional lettuce, diced celery, and extra chives Customize to your taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. If using whole lobsters, cook them according to your preference and remove the meat from the shells. Chop the lobster meat into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped chives. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Gently fold the lobster meat into the dressing, ensuring it’s well coated. Be careful not to shred the meat too much.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the hot dog buns and toast them until golden brown on both sides.
Assembly
  1. Place a generous amount of the lobster mixture into each bun. If desired, add a leaf of lettuce or a sprinkle of diced celery for added texture.
Serving
  1. Serve your Lobster Rolls immediately, garnished with extra chives if desired.

For the best Lobster Roll, use fresh lobster and serve immediately for the best taste. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days and reheat gently. Freeze only the lobster mixture for up to three months.
