Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 32 oz frozen tater tots Ensure they are not overcrowded on the baking sheet.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese For topping the tater tots.
  • 1 cup cooked halal chicken, chopped Can substitute with halal beef if preferred.
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped For a fresh topping.
  • 1 cup sour cream Serve as a dip on the side.
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, sliced Optional for those who like a kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Spread the frozen tater tots evenly on a large baking sheet, ensuring they’re not overcrowded.
Baking
  1. Bake the tater tots in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Turn them halfway through for even cooking.
Topping
  1. Remove the baked tater tots from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese, chopped halal chicken and green onions on top. Add jalapeños if desired.
  2. Return the loaded tater tots to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
Serving
  1. Let the tater tots cool for a few minutes before serving them warm with a generous dollop of sour cream on the side.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes. You can also freeze for up to 2 months.
