Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 8 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Lettuce, shredded
  • 1 large Tomato, sliced
  • 1 Onion, sliced thinly
  • 4 pieces Burger buns, toasted
  • 1 cup Pickles, sliced
  • to taste Ketchup
  • to taste Mustard

Method

Preparation
  1. Take the ground beef and divide it into four equal portions. Gently shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick.
  2. Season each patty generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
  2. Flip the burgers and place a handful of shredded cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese melts and the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.
  3. While the burgers are cooking, toast your burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
Assembly
  1. Place each cooked patty on a toasted bun. Top with shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, some onion, pickles, and your favorite condiments.
Serving
  1. Serve your Loaded Burgers on a platter and enjoy with your family!

Notes

Consider using halal ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option. Vegetarians can substitute with black bean burgers or grilled portobello mushrooms. Avoid pressing down on the burgers while cooking to retain juices. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days or freeze cooked patties for up to 3 months.
