  • 1 cup 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons) Freshly squeezed for the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract You can experiment with other extracts.

Preparation
  1. Boil the Water: Start by bringing 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Steep the Tea: Remove the boiling water from heat and add the tea bags. Let them steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Sweeten It Up: After steeping, add sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
  4. Add the Flavors: Mix in the fresh lemon juice and vanilla extract to the sweetened tea.
  5. Chill: Pour the mixture into a pitcher and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least an hour.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Fill a glass with ice, pour the chilled tea over, and garnish with lemon slices.

Notes

Experiment with fresh herbs like mint or basil for added flavor. Avoid over-steeping to prevent bitterness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
