Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. If using fresh herbs, chop them finely and add them to the mixture.
- Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it’s well-coated. Let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
- Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Roast for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil to allow the skin to crisp up, and continue roasting for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Once cooked, let the turkey breast rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
Serving
- Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
For best results, let the turkey sit at room temperature before roasting. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness and prevent overcooking. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for 2-3 months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C).
