Imagine a dessert that’s not only heavenly creamy but also bursting with bright citrus flavors—the kind of sweet treat that can instantly lift your spirits and cool you down on a hot day. Welcome to the world of Lemon Carlota Gelatin, a simple yet stunning dessert that will make you feel like a gourmet chef without the fuss.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 1 half cream can
  • Juice of 4 lemons
  • 21 g of grenetina about 3 tablespoons
  • 1/2 cup of cold water
  • Maria cookies as needed
  • Lemon zest for decoration

Instructions

  • Hydrate the Grenetina: Start by hydrating the grenetina in cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to absorb the water.
  • Blend the Mixture: In a blender, combine the condensed milk, evaporated milk, half cream, and fresh lemon juice. Blend until everything is well mixed and creamy.
  • Dissolve the Grenetina: Place the hydrated grenetina in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to dissolve it completely. Once it's melted, add it to the blended mixture and blend again until smooth.
  • Prepare the Mold: Lightly grease a mold with a bit of oil. This will help with easy unmolding later.
  • Layer it Up: Pour a layer of the creamy mixture into the mold, followed by a layer of Maria cookies (you can wet the cookies in milk for added flavor). Repeat this process until you’ve used all the mixture and cookies.
  • Chill: Place the assembled mold into the refrigerator to chill for about 3 hours, or until the mixture has fully set.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Once set, gently unmold the dessert and sprinkle with lemon zest for a beautiful finish. Serve it to your delighted guests or savor it all on your own!
