Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts You can also use boneless chicken thighs.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour For coating the chicken.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning the chicken.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Divide into two tablespoons for cooking and two for the sauce.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 piece lemon, zest and juice
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by seasoning your chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge them lightly in flour to create a nice coating.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Place the chicken in the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, followed by the heavy cream, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Stir together to create a luscious sauce.
  4. Place the cooked chicken back in the skillet, allowing it to simmer in the sauce for a few minutes to absorb all those delightful flavors.
  5. Finish off with a sprinkle of chopped parsley, and you’re ready to serve!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat gently and add a splash of chicken broth or water to maintain creaminess.
