Ingredients

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 2 sticks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Add-ins
  • 2 cups assorted chopped Halloween candies Snickers, M&M's, Reese's, etc.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped Halloween candies until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a chewier texture, avoid overbaking the cookies. Chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking can enhance flavor and make it easier to scoop.
