Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the flour, salt, and baking powder, mixing until the dough comes together.
- Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared pan.
Baking the Crust
- Place the crust in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Preparing the Filling
- While the crust is baking, in another bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, lemon juice, and dried lavender until combined.
Final Baking
- Once the crust is ready, pour the lemon mixture over it and return it to the oven.
- Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes or until the filling is set and slightly golden.
Cooling and Serving
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired, and enjoy!
