Preparation
- Start by placing the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Spread the softened cream cheese over the chicken breasts.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix evenly over the cream cheese.
- Add the chicken broth on top of the seasoned chicken and cream cheese.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.
- Use two forks to shred the chicken. Mix everything together until well combined and creamy.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Top with optional green onions or bacon bits if desired and enjoy!
Notes
For quicker cooking, consider using an instant pot. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for 3 months.
